"There was my life before. And then my life after."
But think about the last time you cleaned the kitchen bench. The spray you reached for. The invisible residue it left on the surface where you prepare food tonight.
You probably don't even question it anymore.
Australian cleaning companies aren't required to disclose what's in their products. The word “fragrance” on a cleaning label can legally cover dozens of synthetic chemicals. Most antibacterial sprays work by leaving a chemical film on the surface — that's the mechanism. That film doesn't evaporate. It stays.
We list every ingredient. Always have. Since 1895.
The Lemon Myrtle Bench Spray is made with Berol 609 — a plant-derived, biodegradable surfactant certified under EPA Safer Choice and NSF CleanGredients. Not synthetic detergent. No residue. No hidden anything.
Lemon myrtle has the highest concentration of natural citral of any plant on earth. It's not just the reason your kitchen smells like this — it's a genuinely powerful natural antimicrobial. The clean you can see and smell.
“This is my most favourite cleaner of all! It smells amazing and works on all surfaces!”
— Joletta Ralton, Point Cook ★★★★★
Kitchen benchtops, splashbacks, stovetops: Spray directly onto the surface. Wipe with a damp cloth or paper towel.
Bathrooms — basins, taps, tiles: Spray and wipe. For soap scum, leave for 30 seconds before wiping.
Stone benchtops — marble, granite, Caesarstone, engineered quartz: Safe on all sealed stone. Spray lightly. Wipe dry with a clean cloth. Buff for streak-free finish.
Glass and mirrors: Spray lightly. Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth.
General surfaces — doors, light switches, appliances: Spray and wipe. Safe on stainless steel, plastic, timber (sealed), ceramic and laminate.
Bins and high-touch areas: Spray directly onto surface. Wipe clean.
Not recommended for: Unsealed timber, unsealed or honed stone (spot test first), leather.
Berol 609 — a plant-derived, biodegradable surfactant certified under the EPA Safer Choice program and listed on NSF CleanGredients — the two most rigorous ingredient safety standards in the cleaning industry. Not just listed as “anionic surfactant” like most cleaning products — that's a category, not an ingredient. We name ours. It lifts grease and grime without synthetic detergents and leaves no residue behind.
Methylated Spirits — a food-grade solvent that cuts through oils, waxes, and sticky residues and helps the formula dry streak-free.
100% Pure Lemon Myrtle Oil — Australian-grown, naturally antibacterial and antifungal. Lemon myrtle has a higher concentration of natural citral than any other plant on earth — it's not just a pleasant scent, it's a genuinely powerful natural antimicrobial.

No synthetic fragrance. No optical brighteners. No phosphates. No petrochemicals. No hidden anything.
Bathroom — basins, taps, tiles, shower screens, toilet exterior, mirrors
Stone benchtops — marble, granite, Caesarstone, engineered quartz (sealed)
General surfaces — light switches, door handles, appliances, stainless steel, ceramic, laminate
Bins and high-touch areas — bin rims, cupboard handles, remote controls
Grey water and septic safe. Berol 609 is EPA Safer Choice certified and fully biodegradable.
Spot test first on unsealed or honed stone.
Yes — safe on all sealed natural stone including marble, granite, Caesarstone and engineered quartz. If your stone is unsealed or honed, spot test first.
Is it safe to use on food preparation surfaces?
Yes. The methylated spirits base evaporates completely on contact with air — no residue is left on benchtops or chopping boards. Unlike conventional antibacterial sprays which work by leaving a chemical film behind, this leaves nothing.
Does it disinfect?
Lemon myrtle oil contains extremely high concentrations of natural citral — one of the most potent natural antimicrobials known. It isn't a registered TGA disinfectant, but it cleans effectively and inhibits the growth of many common household bacteria and fungi without leaving a chemical residue.
Does it leave streaks on benchtops?
No — when used as directed. Use sparingly with a dry cloth and buff dry.
Is it safe for pets?
Once dry and aired, yes. Keep pets away from treated surfaces until completely dry.
Is it safe for kids?
Yes. No synthetic fragrance, no bleach, no quats, no benzalkonium chloride.
What if it doesn't work for me?
