Orange is the oil that should be running in the kitchen every morning, in the children's bedtime routine every night, and in the all-day diffuser blend on weekends. It's the most universally appealing oil in this range — the one nobody objects to, the one that works on everyone from children to guests to the person in the house who thinks essential oils are unnecessary.

Some essential oil brands charge over $35 for 15ml of Sweet Orange. At that price it's still an occasional oil. You don't run it all day. You don't use it in the children's room every night. You ration something that should be as automatic as turning on a light.

At our price it becomes automatic. Morning kitchen, evening bedtime routine, weekend living room. Every day without thinking about the cost because the cost doesn't warrant thinking about.

That's the shift. Not the oil. What the price lets you do with it.

100% pure Sweet Orange oil. Nothing added, nothing diluted. We've been selling pure essential oils since 1895. If it's not the best Orange oil you've smelled, we'll refund you in full. No return, no questions, no expiry on that promise.
In a diffuser
Add 4–6 drops to your diffuser with water. Run for 30–60 minutes at a time — intermittent diffusing is more effective than continuous. A well-ventilated room gives you the scent without the saturation.

As a roller blend
Add the recommended drops to a 10ml roller bottle and top with a carrier oil. Apply to wrists, temples, the back of the neck, or the sternum. Never apply undiluted essential oil directly to skin.

In a spray
Add the recommended drops to 250ml of water with 1 teaspoon of methylated spirits as an emulsifier. Shake before each use.

For topical use
Always dilute in a carrier oil before applying to skin. Do a patch test on your inner arm and wait 24 hours before wider use. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Storage
Keep in a cool, dark place — a cupboard or drawer is ideal. Keep the lid sealed between uses. Essential oils degrade with heat, light, and air exposure.

Orange — dilution and caution
Use 4–6 drops in a 100ml diffuser. For skin use, dilute to 2% in carrier oil. Do not apply cold-pressed Orange to skin exposed to sunlight within 12 hours. One of the most gentle and accessible oils in this range.
How many drops do I use in a diffuser?
4–6 drops in a 100ml diffuser. Orange is one of the gentlest, most accessible top notes in the range — it's forgiving with quantity and blends easily with almost everything. One of the most gentle and accessible oils in this range.

Can I use it on my skin before going outside?
Cold-pressed Orange oil is mildly phototoxic — avoid applying to skin that will be exposed to sunlight within 12 hours. For daytime roller blends or body oils that will be sun-exposed, apply to areas covered by clothing.

Is it safe around children?
Orange is one of the gentlest and most widely used oils around children. For children under 2, use very low concentrations in a well-ventilated room. For older children, standard adult precautions apply — dilute for topical use, don't apply near the face, keep the bottle out of reach.

Is it safe during pregnancy?
Sweet Orange appears on the generally-considered-safe list from the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists for pregnancy when used in moderation and diluted for topical use. Check with your midwife or healthcare provider before adding any essential oil to your pregnancy routine.

How long does it last once opened?
Like all citrus oils, Orange oxidises faster than resinous or woody oils. Expect 1–2 years shelf life once opened when stored in a cool, dark place with the lid sealed between uses. When the scent goes flat or smells slightly off rather than fresh, replace it.
Sweet Orange oil (Citrus sinensis) is cold-pressed from the rind of the sweet orange — a byproduct of the juice industry, extracted from the peel that would otherwise be discarded. It's one of the most produced essential oils in the world, which is why it's also one of the most accessible.

Its primary compound is limonene — making up 85–96% of the oil — with smaller amounts of myrcene, linalool, and alpha-pinene. The scent is the warmest and most universally appealing of the citrus oils: round, sweet, and immediately comforting in a way that Lemon and Grapefruit are not.

Studies on cortisol reduction through inhalation have used Sweet Orange consistently, including the dental waiting room study that showed measurable anxiety reduction in patients who inhaled orange oil before treatment. The effect is not dramatic but it is consistent and it is real.

Our Sweet Orange oil is 100% pure cold-pressed Citrus sinensis rind oil. No carrier, no dilution, no synthetic fragrance.
The Australian Eucalyptus Oil Company has been selling pure essential oils since 1895. Five generations. Over 130 years. This oil is sold the same way we've always done things — 100% pure, nothing added, nothing diluted, nothing you'd need to google.

If you're not completely happy, we'll refund you in full. No return required. No questions asked. No expiry on that promise.
