All Natural Dog Wash

You bathed the dog yesterday. Today she's scratching herself raw.

Most dog shampoos use the same harsh detergents as human shampoo. They strip the natural oils that protect the dog's coat. The skin reacts. The dog scratches.

This wash is castile soap — real soap, not a synthetic detergent. Plus eucalyptus hydrosol that calms inflamed skin, eucalyptus oil for the clean, and peppermint oil for the cooling.

Wet the coat through. Use throughout the coat as needed.

Lather. It doesn't foam up much. No synthetic foaming agents — that's the point. Less foam means less to rinse.

Rinse thoroughly. No slippery residue, so two to three rinses is enough.

Towel dry, then air. The eucalyptus and peppermint oils settle into the coat as it dries — that's where the flea and tick deterrent effect comes from.

Customers also use it on horses, ponies and the occasional barnyard cat.

Pure castile soap — made from olive oil and coconut oil. Real soap, not a synthetic detergent. Doesn't strip the natural oils from the dog's coat the way SLS-based shampoos do.

100% pure Australian eucalyptus oil — naturally antibacterial. Cleans the coat. Deters fleas and ticks from settling back into clean fur.

100% pure peppermint oil — natural cooling effect on the skin. Boosts the deterrent. The reason the bath leaves your dog smelling like a forest, not a perfume aisle.

That's the entire formula.

Why does my dog stop scratching after a bath with this?
Most dog shampoos use sodium laureth sulfate or similar detergents. They lather a lot but they also strip the natural oils that protect the dog's skin. The skin reacts; the dog scratches. Castile soap cleans without stripping.

Will it lather like a normal shampoo?
No. Less lather is the point. Synthetic foam is theatre — the cleaning is done by the soap molecules, not the bubbles. Less foam means a faster, more thorough rinse.

Can I use it on a puppy?
Yes. We have customers using it on puppies from 12 weeks old. The formula is gentle enough for sensitive skin.

Can I use it on horses or other animals?
Yes. Half our long-term customers use it on horses, ponies, alpacas and barnyard cats. Same formula, more of it.

Does it actually deter fleas and ticks?
Eucalyptus and peppermint are well-established natural pest deterrents. Customers tell us their dogs stay flea-free even on acreage. We're not making a medical claim, but the deterrent effect is consistent across reviews.
