Geranium is the oil that earns its place every week of the month — and does its most important work in the week before your period. It's the skin oil, the hormone oil, the natural perfume oil, the roller blend you keep in your bag. It's the one that does five jobs quietly without announcing itself.

Some essential oil brands charge over $60 for 15ml of Geranium. At that price you treat it like a special occasion oil. You use it when things are already difficult rather than building the daily habit that makes difficult weeks easier.

At our price you use it every day. In the diffuser on the days you know are coming. In the roller you actually carry. In the skincare routine instead of the $80 serum it's competing with. Without measuring, without rationing, without saving it for later.

That's the shift. Not the oil. What the price lets you do with it.

100% pure Geranium oil. Nothing added, nothing diluted. We've been selling pure essential oils since 1895. If it's not the best Geranium you've smelled, we'll refund you in full. No return, no questions, no expiry on that promise.
In a diffuser
Add 3–4 drops to your diffuser with water. Run for 30–60 minutes at a time — intermittent diffusing is more effective than continuous. A well-ventilated room gives you the scent without the saturation.

As a roller blend
Add the recommended drops to a 10ml roller bottle and top with a carrier oil — jojoba, sweet almond, or fractionated coconut all work. Apply to wrists, temples, the back of the neck, or the sternum. Never apply undiluted essential oil directly to skin.

In a spray
Add the recommended drops to 250ml of water with 1 teaspoon of methylated spirits as an emulsifier. Shake before each use. Spray on surfaces, fabrics, or into the air. Not for use on skin unless the dilution is appropriate for the specific oil.

For topical use
Always dilute in a carrier oil before applying to skin. Do a patch test on your inner arm and wait 24 hours before wider use, especially if you have sensitive skin. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Storage
Keep in a cool, dark place — a cupboard or drawer is ideal. Keep the lid sealed between uses. Essential oils degrade with heat, light, and air exposure.

Geranium — dilution and caution
Use 3–4 drops in a 100ml diffuser. For skin use, dilute to 1–2% in carrier oil — approximately 6–12 drops per 30ml. Suitable for all skin types. Patch test if you have sensitive skin.
How many drops do I use in a diffuser?
3–4 drops in a 100ml diffuser. Geranium is a strong middle note with a tenacious, rose-like character that carries well at low concentrations. It can overpower a blend if you push the quantity — start conservative, especially if you're blending it with lighter citrus top notes.

Can I apply it to my skin?
Yes, diluted. Geranium is one of the most skin-compatible oils in this range and is widely used in facial serums and body oils. Dilute to 1–2% in carrier oil for face use and 2–3% for body use. Do a patch test first — some people with sensitive skin react to the geraniol compound in Geranium oil.

Is it safe to use during my period?
Geranium is one of the oils most cited in aromatherapy literature for menstrual support. Use it diffused, or diluted and massaged onto the lower abdomen in carrier oil. Because of its hormonal activity, avoid heavy use during the first trimester of pregnancy and check with your healthcare provider if you're on hormonal medication.

Is it safe around cats and dogs?
Diffuse in a ventilated space with the door open. Geranium contains geraniol, which can be toxic to cats in concentrated topical amounts — never apply Geranium oil to a cat's fur or skin. Diffused use in a room where your cat can come and go is generally considered lower risk. Dogs are more tolerant.

I've seen Rose Geranium and Geranium — are they the same?
Close but not identical. Both come from the Pelargonium genus and share similar therapeutic properties. Rose Geranium has a slightly more pronounced rose note and is often preferred in perfumery. Standard Geranium is slightly more herbal and is the more commonly available variety. Either works well for the blends on this page.
Geranium oil (Pelargonium graveolens) is steam distilled from the leaves and stems of the scented geranium plant — not the common garden geranium, but the Pelargonium species cultivated specifically for its oil, primarily in Egypt, South Africa, and Reunion. The finest oil — Egyptian Geranium — is considered the benchmark.

Its scent is rose-like but greener and more herbal than rose, with a slightly sweet, almost fruity edge. It's used extensively in perfumery as a rose substitute — rose oil is extraordinarily expensive, Geranium oil is not, and the aromatic relationship between them is close enough that Geranium appears in hundreds of rose-adjacent formulations.

Its primary compounds — citronellol, geraniol, and linalool — are responsible for both its scent and its documented effects on skin regulation, hormonal balance, and mood. It's one of the most skin-compatible oils in aromatherapy and one of the most cited for women's hormonal health.

Our Geranium oil is 100% pure steam-distilled Pelargonium graveolens. No carrier, no dilution, no synthetic fragrance.
