All Natural Eucalyptus Laundry Liquid

They don't because of what's in your detergent.

Optical brighteners are synthetic chemicals that coat fabric fibres to make clothes appear whiter under UV light. They don't clean. They accumulate. Wash after wash they build up on natural fibres — linen, cotton, wool — and over time they make white things look yellow and colours look flat. They're in almost every supermarket laundry liquid. They're also why your washing machine has a grey film in the detergent drawer.

This liquid has none of that.

Pure eucalyptus oil, castile soap, and nothing that needs explaining. 25ml per load — less than most customers use. No optical brighteners. No synthetic fragrance. No residue on fabric or in the machine. Your clothes come out of the wash smelling clean — that fresh eucalyptus scent as they dry — then nothing. Just clean fabric smelling like clean fabric.

Dose
25ml per load — approximately 2 tablespoons. Many customers use less once they get a feel for it.

Front loader
Add 25ml directly to the detergent drawer. Use a normal cycle.

Top loader
Add 25ml directly to the drum before adding clothes, or to the detergent dispenser if your machine has one.

For heavily soiled loads
Increase to 30–35ml. Pre-treat stubborn stains with the Australian Eucalyptus Non Toxic Spray before washing.

Temperature
Works in cold and warm water. Cold water washing is fine for everyday loads — saves energy and is gentler on fabric.

Natural Soap
A plant-derived soap made from saponified natural oils. The cleaning base that lifts dirt, grease, and everyday grime from fabric fibres without synthetic detergents. No sulphates, no petrochemicals. The premium base most brands avoid because it costs more — we use it because it works better.

Oleic Acid
A naturally occurring fatty acid found in plant oils like olive oil. Acts as a cleansing agent and helps the soap lift oil-based stains from fabric. Biodegradable and non-irritating on skin.

Coconut Fatty Acid
Derived from coconut oil. Works alongside the oleic acid to give the formula its gentle cleaning action. Plant-based, skin-compatible, and biodegradable.

100% Pure Australian Eucalyptus Oil
The same eucalyptus oil AEOC has been selling since 1895. Steam distilled from Australian eucalyptus leaves — not imported, not blended, not diluted. Antibacterial, antimicrobial, and genuinely effective on stains. It's what gives your clothes that clean eucalyptus scent as they dry — and then leaves nothing behind.

Water
Pure water. The base that carries everything else.

Potassium Hydroxide (Undetectable after saponification process)
Used during manufacture to saponify the plant oils into liquid soap. Reacts completely during the soap-making process — none of it remains in the finished product.

No optical brighteners. No synthetic fragrance. No phosphates. No sulphates. No residue on fabric or in your machine.

Most supermarket laundry liquids contain optical brighteners — synthetic chemicals that coat fabric fibres to create the illusion of whiteness under UV light. They don't clean. They accumulate on linen, cotton, and natural fibres wash after wash until your whites go grey and your colours go flat. We chose not to include them.

How much do I use per load?
25ml per load — approximately 2 tablespoons. Many customers use less — start at 25ml and adjust down from there. A little goes further than you expect.

How many washes per bottle?
1 Litre — 40 washes at 25ml per load.
5 Litre — 200 washes at 25ml per load.
Many customers use less than 25ml and get more.

Will my clothes smell of eucalyptus?
No — and this surprises most people. There's a strong eucalyptus scent in the wash water but it doesn't transfer to the clothes. Once dry your clothes smell clean — like fabric, not fragrance. No perfume, no synthetic scent, nothing lingering.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. No synthetic fragrance, no optical brighteners, no sulphates. Several customers with skin sensitivities that flare with conventional detergents report no issues with this liquid.

Can I use it for wool and delicates?
No — for wool, silk, and delicate fabrics use the AEOC Wool Mix. It's specifically formulated for fibres that need gentler handling. This liquid is for everyday cottons, linens, and synthetics.

Is it septic and greywater safe?
Yes. Safe for septic systems and greywater.

Will it leave residue in my washing machine?
No — and this is one of the things customers notice most. No build-up in the detergent drawer, no grey film in the machine over time.

Yes. Works effectively in cold and warm water.

Can I use it as a pre-treatment for stains?
For heavy stains, use the Australian Eucalyptus Non Toxic Spray as a pre-treatment before washing — it's more concentrated and specifically built for stain removal. Then wash as normal with the laundry liquid.
